A classic fixed-asset inventory of a branch holding 1,200 assets used to take our client two full working days: a commission with paper checklists, manual matching of inventory numbers and inevitable errors of 15–30%.
After tagging the assets with RFID labels and switching to the Chainway C72 mobile terminal, the same inventory took about three hours. The terminal reads up to 1,300 tags per second from up to 30 meters — walk through the premises and the system matches the found assets against the books automatically.
The result: accounting accuracy above 99%, discrepancies surfaced immediately, the report generated automatically and exported to the accounting system. Time savings — up to 95%.
